- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon maple extract
- pinch of salt
Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
After it begins to boil, reduce heat to a low simmer, and cook for around 4 minutes, until sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove from heat and let syrup cool slightly before using. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.
